GED® Announcement: New Processes for Obtaining GED® Diplomas and Transcripts
Maryland transitioned its credentialing process from the issuance of paper transcripts and diplomas to a paperless web-based credentialing system. As with any new process, there are changes and questions.
Transcripts will no longer be available to be picked up in person from the Maryland GED® Office; all transcript and duplicate diploma requests will be managed by GED Credentialing™.
GED Credentialing™ is a full-service program which fulfills requests for GED® transcripts and diplomas. The service includes fulfillment for new graduates of their electronic diploma, an electronic transcript as well as a mailed Maryland High School Diploma, sent for free upon request. Those graduates who received their Maryland High School Diploma prior to 2014 will also access their credentials through this service.
How do I request a duplicate diploma or transcript?
For transcripts and/or diplomas earned on or after January 1, 2014: You will log into your myGED account and select the My Scores tab and click the Order Duplicates button on the Scores page.
For transcripts and/or diplomas earned prior to January 1, 2014: You will request your credentials from GED Credentialing™. For information on GED transcripts, Contact the GED® Office at 410-767-0538 for office hours.
